29-year-old woman found dead at Airbnb during a bachelorette party | United Kingdom | News

An inquest has heard that a woman who traveled to Liverpool for a bachelorette party was found dead in the bathroom of her Airbnb apartment.

Reports say Kay Reed, 29, took a minibus to town from Redcar in North Yorkshire on Friday April 29 with a group of other women. They were celebrating a friend’s upcoming wedding.

The women spent the next day celebrating and playing mad golf before returning to their flats in Dale Street, where Kay began complaining of feeling sick and went to bed. She was found on the apartment’s bathroom floor around 1:30 a.m. on May 1 by her friend, Louise Johnson.

Paramedics were called but she could not be revived, her Liverpool inquest heard on Monday.

Now heartbroken friends have created a webpage in his memory, sharing messages of love and grief. Posting on the page, Louise said: “Enjoy paradise my perfect Kay. I wish you were here to see how much you are loved. Make sure you have a pint waiting for me lovely. I love you more than words could ever say, and actions could ever show. You are the light in my world and I will keep you with me forever.

The court heard that Kay, a call center agent who lived in Redcar, had been drinking with her friends in Liverpool city center on the night of April 29. reports the Liverpool Echo.

The following day, the group went to a Wetherspoons at 10.30am, then played crazy golf at Junkyard Golf Club and ate at Five Guys before heading back to Dale Street to get ready for a night out. They spent the evening at the Alma De Cuba bar on Seel Street and returned to the apartments at 00:30.

Kay was found dead an hour later.

Fellow ‘hens’ paid tribute to the ‘magnificent’, ‘bubbly’ 29-year-old, who graduated with a master’s degree from Birmingham City University in 2016.

Bride Lauren Kenny said: “Keep smiling and singing, beautiful girl! Until we meet again, you will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Gemma said: “Kay, you had the ability to instantly put people at ease. From the moment we met, your bubbly positive personality just radiated and it was an absolute pleasure to be with you. I can’t believe how our weekend with so many amazing memories ended like this and I’m so sorry I find it hard to understand what happened and life seems so unfair but I know that you will find your family in paradise.

Samantha said, “Your personality shone bright and now you shine on all of us. Keep dancing up there, until we meet again.”

Delivering a conclusion on an alcohol-related death, Coroner Anita Bhardwaj said: “It is more likely than not that the alcohol consumed rendered Kay unconscious. Kay vomited and inhaled stomach acid into her upper respiratory tract, resulting in his death.

“It’s something a lot of people do, go out drinking, it’s not something unusual and she was clearly very unhappy with the results of what happened. I think it shows how much alcohol can be dangerous.”
