$ 400,000 Claptrap Castle in Indiana is the most popular house of the week

We have to warn you, this week’s list of the 10 most popular houses on Realtor.com® ranges from wishes of champagne and dreams of caviar to a hot nightmare very quickly.

Take the most popular house of the week as a prime example. It’s technically a castle in Indiana, but it’s really just a royal mess.

From the outside, it looks like everything you would expect to see in a castle: it is a fortified structure with the exterior of a fortress and a concrete courtyard. But upon closer examination, this is really just a run down and cluttered project that is in desperate need of a royal savior. It’s the kind of place you can’t help but click when shared online.

On what is practically another planet, but still occupies our same list, is the lavish Pasadena, Calif. Mansion sold by the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star. Erika Girardi and her ex-husband, Tom girardi. It was slashed by $ 1.5 million after a devastating documentary about Tom’s alleged financial embezzlement was released on Hulu.

Less chic but still spectacular is a Virginia ranch house decorated by someone with extreme taste and courage to match.

You also clicked on the Massachusetts house sold by a retired NBA legend Danny Aingé, the SoCal home of YouTube personality and makeup mogul Jeffree Star, and an opulent 25-acre waterfront estate in Maryland that was once a monastery.

It’s a study in the extremes of this week’s list. Take a look for yourself.
