A sumptuous Italian villa that makes an appearance in the film currently in theaters Gucci House is available for rent on Airbnb.
The trap ? It is available for one night, and one night only, next spring.
And chances are you will need to log in as soon as the reservation period opens on December 6 in order to score the coveted reservation. Here is the scoop.
Villa Balbiano is presented Gucci House Movie
Built in the 16th century, Villa Balbiano is today one of the largest private residences on Lake Como, Italy, according to the Airbnb announcement. With beautifully landscaped gardens, the villa on the western shore of the lake has been featured – albeit briefly – in the Gucci House film starring Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jared Leto and Al Pacino.
The lavish mansion serves as a villa for Al Pacino’s character, Aldo Gucci, the patriarch of the family who started a fashion empire. The grounds are the backdrop for Aldo’s birthday party scenes for a short while – moviegoers primarily see the exterior of the lakeside villa – in the film which was shot extensively by reviews.
Yet a view from a drone camera over the film’s majestic estate reveals a private waterfront location where one lucky person can live like a Hollywood star for a night. Pictures on Airbnb show crystal chandeliers and velvet furniture in bedrooms and living areas, as well as in marble bathrooms. 17th-century frescoes adorn the walls and period antiques can be found throughout.
There’s also an outdoor pool and a private boathouse and jetty. Anyone who rents the house will have access to the first three floors, which are accessible by elevator. It has 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and the listing says to experience it all in one night (3pm arrival and 11am departure) guests may not want to sleep!
How to book Villa Balbiano on Airbnb
Currently, all “available dates” on the Airbnb listing are marked occupied. But presumably, on December 6 at 12 p.m. ET, interested parties will be able to log in to book Villa Balbiano for $ 1,131 for one night: March 30, 2022.
Technically, that means it’s booked at noon on December 6, so if you’re impatient to book, have your trigger finger ready before 11:59 a.m. EST on December 6. (Unless the Airbnb listing is supposed to be midnight AND December 6, in which case you can consider tipping in at 11:59 p.m. on December 5!)
