A night on the cobblestones: Coronation Street listed on Airbnb for the first time
Coronation Street – the home of the hugely popular British soap – is now available for a one-time stay on Airbnb.
For one night only, the cobblestones will be open to two guests, allowing super-fans to immerse themselves in the iconic location and adopt the Rovers Return as their next door neighbor for the evening while they stay at “The Rovers Annexe ”, Rue du Couronnement, M10.
The stand-alone pop-up house, which has a red brick facade and double-glazed windows, sits in the heart of the street, right next to the Rovers Return Inn.

During the stay, guests will participate in a private tour of the scenery and if they’re lucky, a pint in the Rovers and Roy’s Rolls breakfast can be offered.
Airbnb said: “As guests stroll down the street, they will walk past Fiz and Tyrone, peek out Kabin’s window, or walk down Victoria Street to check out Speed Daal’s menu and see what Alya did.
“Although the interiors are closed, guests will be able to stroll through Coronation, Rosamund and Victoria Street at their leisure. They can even wander the ginnel, the site of so many of Corrie’s secret dates.
In the evening, they can settle into their specially built annex, which has been furnished in classic Coronation Street style, taking inspiration from the decor of the Rovers Return B&B.
The annex has a view of Audrey’s and a little further on Prestons Petals and the kebab shop

There is a “comfortable living space to relax” with decor that pays homage to the Rovers’ wood paneling and patterned wallpaper and a dining room table, where they will be served a hot supper.
While they eat, they can take in the view of Audrey’s and a little further over Prestons Petals and the kebab shop and watch a TV with hours of Coronation Street’s best-loved episodes over the years.
Airbnb said: “Fans will be able to watch the ’80s affair – Deirdre Barlow’s date with Mike Baldwin – the disastrous streetcar crash a decade ago and the classic moment last year when David Platt finds out a chasm in his back garden. For a truly authentic experience, guests will enjoy all their favorite soap moments, sitting in the heart of the street. ‘
Then they can retire to an adjoining twin bedroom with ‘comfy bedding and stunning views of Weatherfield’.
A temporary bathroom will be located a short walk from the “Rovers Annex” for their private use which contains a toilet, shower, sink, toiletries and towels.

Airbnb added that there are a few house rules – a non-negotiable pot for tea, do not drive into the canal after departure and proper footwear is advised as cobblestones are slippery when wet.
‘The Rovers’ Annex’, at ITV Studios, MediaCityUK, Greater Manchester, will be available for booking from 1 p.m. BST on May 26 at airbnb.com/corrie. The overnight stay will take place on October 2, 2021 and will cost £ 60 with the fee going to charity. Airbnb reviews will be taken into account.
