Valle Falconera is a 50 acre private island that is available for hire on Airbnb, and it’s a remote control, Italian destination off the beaten track.
The island is surrounded by a lagoon, a short boat ride from the town of Cavallino-Treporti in Venice, Italy.
The island rental price varies depending on the number of guests. For 16 visitors, the island can be rented for $309 a night, or $42 per person. For one or two guests, a night on the island costs $104 per person.
On Valle Falconera you will find a pastel colored farmhouse. The host of the house, Anna Sarzetto, manages the rental place and the surrounding farm with her boyfriend, sister, mother and father.
The farm belongs to Sarzetto’s grandmother and holds many memories for the family.
“[My father] puts all of his time and effort here, and he passed that love on to me,” Sarzetto told Insider.
Sarzetto said the family uses the money they get from rentals to pay for the barriers that protect the small island from high tides.
“Everyone who stays here is helping to save the island,” Sarzetto said.
The pink farm has six bedrooms and can accommodate up to 16 people.
The rooms, decorated by the Sarzetto family, exude a rustic atmosphere of yesteryear.
The Sarzettos recently opened a farm on the island to help promote local produce. They grow artichokes and tomatoes and grow honey, fish and oysters.
During their stay, guests can gather around the house’s inviting dining table to enjoy fresh, farm-to-table dishes.
Valle Falconera also offers stunning views of the surrounding lagoon, where guests can often spot flamingos enjoying its waters.
