The Minnesota Zoo hosted adults only nights in the past. I went to one and it was super fun! But as far as I know they have only been on Thursdays and during the summer. Now the zoo offers a few adult-only nights, but on Saturdays and during the winter! I will definitely go.
Adults Only Nights at the Minnesota Zoo
During their summer event, you must be 18+ to participate. The event kicks off after their doors close during regular hours. So it’s free rein for the adults! They have alcohol for sale at different stalls around the zoo and snacks too, of course.
I am a huge animal lover and have always had a lot of fun going to the zoo. Being able to leisurely stroll through the zoo with a beer in hand with other adult animal lovers was awesome.
Minnesota Zoo “After Hours Zoo”
The official name of the event is “Zoo After Hours”. They have three dates right now for the winter version of their adults-only parties and they are on Saturdays. I’m especially excited that they’re on Saturdays now because since moving to Rochester I haven’t been able to go to the adults-only parties since they were on Thursdays. Now that at least it’s Saturdays, it’s much easier for us in southeast Minnesota to make the trip.
The dates for ‘Zoo After Hours’ are:
Saturday January 21 5-8:30 p.m.
Saturday February 11 5-8:30 p.m.
Saturday March 11 5-8:30 p.m.
You must purchase tickets in advance for the event. Tickets are $15 per person (unless you’re a zoo member, then you are). Parking is also free during adult-only nights! As with the summer ones, there will be drinks and snacks for sale. All indoor attractions will be open for the event, but none of the outdoor attractions will be available.
I can’t wait to go to one of them, it’s been too long since I’ve been to the zoo!
