Airbnb for Work reveals increasingly popular destinations for UK digital nomads

Around the world: Airbnb for Work revealed 12 cities around the world that have become increasingly popular destinations for UK digital nomads this year.

The latest booking data has been gathered by the Business Travel Portal which is used by working professionals to book team building activities and meeting spaces around the world.

The figures show that remote workers are not only looking to European cities as a destination, but also further afield.

Bogotá in Colombia tops the list of popular digital nomadic destinations, with a 196% increase between October 2018 and October 2019 in the number of Britons booking a business trip.

Other more distant destinations include Lima in Peru, Istanbul in Turkey, and Miami and San José in the United States.

The full list of 12 emerging cities for digital nomads in 2019 [between October 2018 and October 2019] according to Airbnb for Work is the following:

  1. Bogotá, Colombia – 196% increase in business stays
  2. Istanbul, Turkey – 193% increase in business stays
  3. Bratislava, Slovakia – 187% increase in business stays
  4. Malaga, Spain – 174% increase in business stays
  5. Lima, Peru – 168% increase in business trips
  6. Marbella, Spain – 162% increase in business stays
  7. Nuremberg, Germany – 160% increase in business stays
  8. Venice, Italy – 160% increase in business stays
  9. San José, United States – 159% increase in business stays
  10. Antibes, France – 155% increase in business stays
  11. Krakow, Poland – 153% increase in business stays
  12. Miami, United States – 151% increase in business stays
