Inspired by the increasing flexibility to work and live from anywhere, the company launched a “Live anywhere on Airbnb” program that will allow 12 people to live exclusively in accommodation on Airbnb for one year.

The company asks those selected to share their experiences to help inform future product upgrades and innovations on the platform to better adapt to nomadic life.

Airbnb will also cover the full cost of accommodation and provide a transportation allowance for the duration of the program.

The company hopes that through the program, participants will be able to provide “concrete information about the features, services and experience of nomadic living, which could help shape the long-term future of living. on Airbnb “.

The program will be open to everyone from “young families to remote workers, creatives, empty nesters, etc.” as they “are looking for a diverse set of 12 people”.

Applicants will need to be available to be part of the program for 12 consecutive months from July 2021 to July 2022.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older and each participant will be allowed to bring up to three chaperones.

Airbnb will also help travelers with suggested listings, local experiences, and more over the 12-month period.

Participants who choose to host their primary residence on Airbnb during the program will also be able to test the accommodation experience while living nomadic, and potentially earn additional money during their trip.
