Customers want peace of mind that the place they are staying can meet their connected needs.

Bangkok, Thailand – More Thais are working from home than ever due to the pandemic. The lines between life and travel have become blurred, and with a new adaptability to work remotely while traveling, it’s no surprise that workstations have become a new trend among Thais. Notably, a YouGov survey commissioned by Airbnb found that the top three destinations where Thais preferred extended working vacations were, in order of ranking: other urban cities (46%), coastal areas (41%) and rural destinations (31%).

Customers want peace of mind that the place they are staying can meet their connected needs; and whether it’s gaming and streaming on Twitch, zooming in with coworkers, or chatting as a family with video chat, a fast and stable internet is more important than ever.

With Wi-Fi increasingly a key piece of equipment for remote working and business activities, Airbnb recently launched a new feature that allows customers to determine an ad’s Wi-Fi speed before booking.

While hosts have been able to manually add Wi-Fi speeds to their listing pages for some time, Airbnb now provides a simple and efficient built-in solution for them to measure Wi-Fi speed in their listing using the Airbnb app.
