AirBnb near Mass Ave. is full of Indy pride
It’s hard to forget you’re staying in the heart of Indianapolis when you step into Felicia Kiesel’s home.
The bright and colorful three bedroom house on North Keystone Avenue in the St. Clair Place neighborhood is full of Kiesel’s love for Indy.
And the 31-year-old business owner shows that love through the decorating of her home, which includes several items made by Indianapolis artists.
The two-story home is available for vacation rental on Airbnba hospitality services website that allows people to offer accommodation in their house, apartment or spare room.
Kiesel has owned the home for about two years, and it features a mural featuring Indiana’s state bird (the cardinal), its state flower (the peony), and the outline of the state of Indiana. The mural was painted by Indianapolis muralist Martin Kuntz.

And that’s not all Indy’s pride and hints of Kiesel’s personality that guests will find in the house.
There are more paintings and throw pillows shaped like the state of Indiana and an ode to Parks and Recreation, the TV sitcom set in a fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana.

There are also photos and paintings of his Chihuahua dog, Chiquita.
“My house is very Indiana,” Kiesel said. “When I first bought the house, I thought, ‘I have to make it very adult, with beige colors, you know I’m in my 30s.
“But then I said no, this is my home and I want it to reflect me. I knew I wanted it to be fun.”
Mass Ave. is located less than a mile from the house and Highland Park, which offers views of the city skyline, is located within walking distance. Tick Tock Lounge, Rabble Coffee and Mayfair Taproom are also nearby.
Her home is also decorated with furniture handmade by family members, Kiesel said.
