Airbnb pays lucky 12 to travel the world for a year
The Airbnb roommate platform looks to the future with its new initiative, inviting 12 lucky attendees to spend a year living for free in its listings around the world.
In addition to covering the costs of each winner, plus three friends, the platform will provide a transportation allowance and organize experiences for participants as part of the initiative, which will begin in July 2021.
Why? Attendees will learn about the development of the Airbnb platform by sharing their experiences, feedback, and helping to introduce the product changes and resources Airbnb offers in the future, including ‘the long-term living experience “.
Airbnb’s announcement is part of the post-pandemic transition to long-term remote working, adopted by many companies over the past 12 months. A recent study produced by the company found that up to 74% of people expressed interest in living somewhere other than where their business is based, even after the pandemic.

Digital nomads must commit to being part of the program for 12 consecutive months, and interested parties can find out more about the initiative and apply here.
