The film’s plot revolves around food critic June (Katie Holmes) and recently single man Charlie (Jim Sturgess). June is planning a short getaway to take a break from pandemic-hit New York City. She is a food critic by profession. She books an AirBnb for herself and her boyfriend John (Derek Luke). His plan for this short getaway trip goes awry from the start. When she arrives at her accommodation, she is shocked to learn that the AirBnb has also been double-booked by recently single man Charlie. On the other hand, June’s love life gets complicated when her boyfriend John decides to stay in town to take care of his parents. June and Charlie decide to enjoy their life in these moments together. They also end up developing an unexpected intimacy in which they bond over their goals, ambitions and also talk about relationships.
