American tech company expands presence in Birmingham

An American tech company that opened a base in Birmingham two years ago has again expanded its presence in the city.

Florida-based Chetu, which provides software development and support services, opened a new operation in Edgbaston after reaching an agreement for 1,656 square feet of space at 83 Hagley Road.

It joins its Holloway Head office, which opened in 2019 before doubling in size last year, and the new base will create 30 new jobs.

Founder and Managing Director Atal Bansal said: “After 21 years in business, the growth we have experienced this year is truly unprecedented.

“I look forward to Chetu’s continued growth as we continue to help businesses adapt and meet their IT needs.

The company also plans to open a new software delivery center in Dubai later this year.

Chetu was founded in 2000 and today employs a total of 1,800 software development staff with its only other European team based in Amsterdam.
