Ashton Kutcher Says Wife Mila Kunis Told Him He Was “Like A Different Guy” With Vengeance Mustache

Mila Kunis is there for Ashton Kutcher — mustache and all!

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday with guest host David Alan Grierthe What Arrived in Vegas star, 44, opened up about her facial hair transformation for her latest film Revenge.

In the film, Kutcher’s character, Texas rural music producer Quentin Sellers, has a pencil-thin mustache. “This character, when I first saw him, I was like, ‘That’s interesting.’ He kind of had that Boss Hog vibe to him,” Kutcher recalled, remembering those “bad guys” with thin mustaches in cannonball race and Smokey and the bandit. “I was like, ‘Okay, I think this guy has, like, this air of sophistication.’ “

“Then my wife had to take care of it and it was a lot of fun,” Kutcher said of Kunis, 38.

When Grier, 66, asked her how she got her facial hair, Kutcher said Kunis was fine with it. “We’ve been together for seven years, so when I brought the mustache home, she was like, ‘Oh, that’s like another guy!'” Kutcher said.

As for the film itself, Vengeance marks BJ Novakfor the first time as a star and director. “BJ had this amazing script that he wrote and he came up to me and he was like, ‘Hey, I’m going to direct this thing, it’s going to be my directorial debut and there’s a role that I want you to play'” Kucher said.

After reading the script, Kutcher was impressed and agreed to join the project. He added, “It was one of the best scripts I’ve read in a decade because I think it captured exactly where America is right now.”

Kutcher also explained the film in his own words: “It’s about a podcaster from New York who goes to southwest Texas to prove everyone how stupid they are and he gets a lesson. along the way.” The actor said the film was “beautiful, but very funny”.

Besides Vengeance, Kutcher has another long-awaited project coming out soon: the Netflix spin-off show of That 70s showThat 90s show.

The actor starred in That 70s show from 1998 to 2006 alongside Kunis, Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Wilmer Valderrama, Danny MastersonDebra Jo Rupp, Kurtwood Smith, Tanya RobertDon Stark, Lisa Robin Kelly and Tommy Chong.

That 90s show will center on Leia (Callie Haverda), the daughter of ’70 directs Eric Forman (Grace) and Donna Pinciotti (Prepon), as she visits her grandparents Kitty (Rupp) and Red Forman (Smith) for the summer. Naturally, Kutcher, Kunis and Valderrama are ready to make special appearances.

During a previous Revenge red carpet, Kutcher shared that he and Kunis sat down for a chat before signing on to review their characters.

“Mila and I were thinking about it,” he said Variety. “We thought, ‘Look, we’re only in the position we’re in because of this show, so let’s go back and do this. We just got back and had fun for a week. It was so random and fun.'”

Noting that “the new cast is phenomenal,” he added, “It was really nostalgic to be back on set. It’s all the same people who made That 70s showso it was pretty weird.”

Although no premiere date for That 90s show was put in, Revenge is currently in theaters.
