Beautiful snow !: Accor’s innovative new mobile offering in the French Alps

Damien Perrot, Global SVP Design Multibrand at AccorHotels, says Flying Nest is a visionary concept that will spark the future of the industry. “We have worked to create an immersive experience more than just peace.”

The idea behind the concept, in addition to mobility, is that the location of the containers should have as little impact on their surroundings as possible, allowing them to be installed in areas of great natural beauty and requiring protection.

Thanks to this, visitors have a great connection to the destination, and in the case of Avoriaz, skiers can simply exit the container directly to the mountain and its slopes.

The containers are equipped with individual decks and are connected by walkways and platforms, allowing guests to mix together as they act as a social space.

The containers have one whole side which is made of glass, which gives guests an amazing view of the surroundings.

About 20 units have been installed in the French ski resort, supported by stilts driven into the ground with minimal disruption.

The containers have a bed and a heating / cooling system, as well as a private terrace for outdoor use.

Let’s take a look at a few other projects currently being carried out by Accor Hotels:
