As we now know, celebrities are not like us …
BUT, what if we could be like them? It’s more or less a question I ask myself (I don’t know if it’s healthy or not) after watching each Celebrity House Tour on Architectural Digest Youtube channel—One of the most strangely calming and entertaining content that exists in the digital landscape today. A bold statement? No, not really, and you’ll understand what I mean when you listen to one.
Do any of the celebrities listed below Actually put their residences on Airbnb? It’s unlikely. But the idea is certainly delicious, especially since I barely left my apartment in the past six months. Based on my research via the AD Channel, the following celebrities have the best homes that would make great getaways.
Kendall jenner

Let’s be honest: who wouldn’t want to stay with a Kardashian for a weekend? I mean say what you want about the avant-garde family, but their residences are consistently sumptuous / decadent and this one recently unveiled on the AD channel– Kendall Jenner’s five-bedroom, six-bath residence – is no different. Jenner said that during the renovations she kept in mind that she wanted the property to feel “peaceful” and “super quiet,” which is exactly what you expect from a vacation, right?
There are lots of windows, earthy tones, a ‘Kris Jenner quality’ bar, a 300 pound sink, an art room primarily designed for painting with custom paintable combinations, a double sided fireplace in the bedroom and a gold tub.
Dakota johnson
Location: Hollywood Hills
A wooden table from Winston Churchill’s yacht as garden furniture? Ma’am, how is this not a centerpiece in your mid-century home? !! But what do I know? I was just lucky to watch this video.
Actress Dakota Johnson’s house and its contents could (should?) Be categorized as eclectic and almost felt hidden from the world, shrouded in trees so tall that its neighbors have issues with them. Also, not that it prompts you to override that “Book Now” button, Johnson has a “Barb from Stranger Things”Funko POP! Doll in her office, as well as a collection of poems by Patti Smith containing personalized notes from the author to the actress.
Kerry Washington
Location: NYC (on the Hudson River)
There is one thing that touches me about Kerry Washington’s New York apartment on the Hudson River every time I look his AD video (which I did several times, enough to get attached to his dog Joséphine Baker): LIGHTING. Plus, the dining room chairs have rollers, which is sort of ingenious for me in that it could be an icebreaker for the initially awkward procedures that spawn dinners.
Additionally, Kerry has a Cloud Sofa (just like Kendall!) and after introducing it, she remarks that, if you decide to sit on it, “you should have a backup plan for anything else on your calendar that day, because it’s like sleeping or sitting on a cloud. “I would love nothing more than to own one. Sadly, it’s thousands of dollars; but, BUT, it’s a hypothetical Airbnb situation, remember ?!
David Harbor
Location: New York
“Does David Harbor live here? I said to myself after watching his AD tour. His New York apartment is absolutely stunning, and during the tour he points out some jaw-dropping knickknacks and details without going into great detail about them. For example, he really likes the cook “even if he is not a cook very much, but he likes its color”. It’s a weirdly distant energy, which is a shame as it’s a very warm but strikingly designed space, distinct from most of the open and contemporary places on this list.
I’d be happy to move in if he decided to list it on Airbnb and then spontaneously decided to just give it to me, as a gift, while I was there on vacation. There’s a bookcase ladder that spins around the kitchen cabinets, high ceilings (it’s a loft, after all), a living room spotlight that retracts to the ceiling, and retractable blackout curtains in the bedroom.
Tan France
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
OK, so that was a highly anticipated one for me. Tan is one of the best parts of strange eye and even before clicking on “To play”With that, I staggered. “If her living space is organized like her perfect hair, this will be a must see watch,” I thought. And boy, have my expectations been met. Tan has a cupboard for candles. I feel like that in itself is appealing enough to make me want to visit, although there would probably be a note after booking not to light any of them which is good! They are all probably very expensive.
But can you imagine just opening that closet door? And being the fashion-centric icon of the show that he is, his extremely organized actual closet is very impressive. However, Tan is working on building another “full size” closet which he says will expand the entire basement. That’s right, the whole basement is being renovated to be a closet because Mr. France needs more space.
Liv Tyler
Location: New York
Sorry, but if you’re unfamiliar with that particularly enjoyable home visit from AD… have you quit using technology altogether in the past two years? Joke! But, seriously, it did Internet rounds when it was first created because, here, the incredible Liv Tyler seems to somehow parody?
Anyway, I’m a huge fan, and whatever the humor (?), Tyler’s NYC brownstone is built for comfort and is very unique in that the kitchen is in the basement and it’s has a landline because it lacks landlines. I miss the fixed ones! I reserve this Airbnb STAT when it is actually available. I love you, Liv!
Nyjah huston
Location: Laguna Beach
A skateboard park in your house is pretty cool. Just like incredible views and pro skateboarder Nyjah Huston’s pad has both. Can you imagine taking your family here? I can!
Well my family live out of state and I’m single but I can imagine going here with my friends or alone and LOVING it. There is a game room, mysterious goats roaming the property (?) And a very stylish kitchen with quartz countertops designed for entertaining.
