Adapted from The life of the Mayfair witches A new trilogy written by gothic literary master Anne Rice, the show is AMC+’s latest mystical installment. Witches of Mayfair follows neurosurgeon Rowan Fielding, played by The White Lotus alum Alexandra Daddario, who returns to her New Orleans home after her mother’s death, where she discovers her lineage is more broom than scalpel. In the trailer, we get our first real look at the infamous Mayfair house, which we’re told has a haunting history behind its beautifully decrepit Airbnb rusticity. Rowan quickly discovers the wizarding associations with the house, and we watch as she begins to develop strange abilities and struggle against something changing within her. Ghostly visions, hooded figures, singing girls and mysterious keys featured throughout the trailer give us a clue to the deepening mystery of the Mayfair house that Rowan must uncover to understand his own story. and his powers.
For fans of supernatural and bewitching tales, Witches of Mayfair won’t be missed when it lands on AMC+ on January 5, 2023.
