A regular at the big games, Big Boi was on hand to help the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning celebrate their second straight Stanley Cup championship.

Yesterday (July 12), the Outkast legend joined the team’s championship boat parade along the Tampa waterfront, delivering a free show to celebrate the Lightning’s victory in the Stanley Cup Final against the Montreal Canadiens last week.

As Big Boi explained in a Sunshine State social media update, his song “All Night” – taken from the 2017 solo release Boumverse – was a hit in the Lightning locker room playlist throughout their Stanley Cup run. Of course, the artist also had his own Lightning “Daddy Fat Saxxx” jersey created for the occasion.

Later, Big Boi and Sleepy Brown of Organized Noise even had the chance to take care of the famous trophy themselves, meeting for photos with Lightning goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevskiy, who received the Conn Smythe trophy from the NHL as playoff MVP. Do you think the two Atlanta legends say the Stanley Cup is “heavy like crazy”?

Big Boi to celebrate milestone Outkast anniversary soon ATlinks. Last month, he listed the group’s legendary Dungeon Studio on Airbnb.
