Birmingham Bears’ Paul Stirling loot 34 points in T20 Blast

In T20 cricket, the fans go crazy when they see their beloved cricketers hammering the bowlers consistently. A similar thing happened when Paul Stirling – one of the most popular names in the sport in recent years – plundered 34 points in a T20 Blast game on Thursday.

Paul Stirling is widely regarded as one of the most powerful and fluid hitters in world cricket. The versatile Irishman was seen in supreme contact again during his Birmingham Bears side’s T20 Blast game against Northamptonshire on Thursday. Coming open, Stirling hit 10 sixes and nine fours in his entertaining 51-ball 119 shot. With that, Birmingham beat Northamptonshire by 125 runs via the DLS method.

The main highlights of Stirling’s shot came in the 13th, backed by James Sales. Stirling was in full charge against Sales and broke five trotting sixes on the first five balls. Fans, as well as the Birmingham support staff, expected the Irishman to get the sixth-highest as well, but he only got a thick advantage for four points. With that, the 13th over went for 34 points.

Here is the 13th by James Sales:

Going to bat, Birmingham went 207/3 in 16 overs. Then they beat Northamptonshire for 81 in 14.2 overs to register a win by a big margin.
