Birmingham’s Big Rock Chophouse will close earlier than planned for good.

Depending on the restaurant, the last day will be Saturday, December 18. Previously, the restaurant had announced its closure at the end of the year.

“Originally we planned to stay open until the end of the year, but the way the holidays fell with our hours of operation, we decided our last night would be Saturday December 18, 2021” , said co-owner Norm LePage in a statement. “This way our loyal and dedicated staff will be able to use Christmas and New Years with their families for a change. They have truly been the heart and soul of our restaurant and giving everyone paid time off during the holidays is a good thing. way for us to show our appreciation for their many years of service. ”

Owners advise guests looking for a last meal in Birmingham’s nearly 40-year-old staple to book by calling 248-647-7774.

The owners say the restaurant will be open for dinner and private events from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Saturday through December 18.
