Blackpool Pleasure Beach event takes thrill seekers to new heights

Thrill seekers can take part in a whole new adventure at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Adrenaline junkies can now book to experience the ups and downs of one of the park’s classic roller coasters with a chance to walk the wooden tracks.

Usually reserved for specialized engineers, roller coaster enthusiasts will be able to take to the slopes and walk along The Nickelodeon sequence, a classic wooden roller coaster that’s been one of the park’s main attractions since 1933.

the Walk the Woodie The event will run for a limited time, only guests will be able to enjoy the exhilarating experience between May 13 and October 8.

There are three slots available each day, 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., and each slot will be available for a selected number of guests; up to four people per walk.

Walk The Woodie is available for ages 12 and up and tickets are priced at £ 65 each.

With plenty of photo opportunities along the way, guests will learn the ins and outs of roller coaster maintenance while enjoying stunning panoramic views of the theme park.

Harnesses, helmets, and protective gear will be provided, but guests should wear appropriate study shoes with good grip, such as walking shoes.

Guests are also required to attend a safety briefing beforehand and should allow 90 minutes for the experience.

The Nickelodeon Streak, which was previously simply known as ‘The Rollercoaster’, is easily recognized by its bright orange paintwork and allows guests to fly around the perimeter of Nickelodeon Land, Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s children’s park.
