Boston College Football back to the grind as Eagles practice inside Fish Field House

Boston College football began week three of its fall camp Wednesday morning. The Eagles kept their practice session inside Fish Field House for the duration and spent much of the latter part of the morning working on situational football.

Notes: Phil Jurkovec finished the first big play of the day in the middle of Lewis Bond…Emmett Morehead fumbled a sack and found running back Cam Barfield for a 25-yard catch-and-run…Jurkovec ran linked with Zay Flowers for a 45-yard touchdown… Jurkovec also managed to expand the depth of the team’s tight end group with completions to Hans Lillis and Charlie Gordinier on the seam for over 20 yards to get into the red zone… late periods for the team included a Bryce Steele TFL and Jalon Williams PBU… Barfield ran a reduced touchdown run… Alec Sinkfield scored a touchdown run through the line tines… Marcus Valdez had picked up a third sack and a goal.

2 minute exercise: In the first situation, the defense was up seven and forced a turnover on the downs…at 2nd base for both, Morehead returned a fly ball to Dante Reynolds for a touchdown…Valdez and the defensive line recorded back-to-back sacks in the first team.

Final game: The attack lasted two and the victory being led by one… Flowers caught a pass from Jurkovec outside the end zone, but broke through the defense to convert the try.
