Bournemouth-based Not Just Travel praises new travel list

A BOURNEMOUTH-based travel giant hailed the latest easing of travel restrictions in the UK, with more countries added to the green and orange lists.

Not Just Travel, one of the UK’s largest travel agencies, is based at Aviation Retail Park near Bournemouth Airport.

Co-founder Steve Witt said: “I know we could wish for more, but these latest announcements are great for vacationers and the travel industry.

“That France has returned to the orange list and that no quarantine has been a positive step in itself, but having seven new countries added to the green list and four to orange is a real result.

“It’s a big boost for the UK travel industry and holidaymakers. ”

The latest changes are:

  • Transition from amber to green: Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Romania and Norway
  • Going from red to amber: India, Bahrain, Qatar and United Arab Emirates
  • Going from amber to red: Georgia, Mexico, Reunion Island and Mayotte
  • Transition from amber-plus to amber: France

Mr Witt added: ‘Our advice to anyone considering leaving is to get the jab, to check the latest advice before you book, both from the UK government and the destination you are planning to travel to. Book it and relax.

“We anticipate an increase in inquiries for these new destinations as the news begins to filter through for everyone. It may take a while as consumers go blind to daily updates.

“But once they realize that there are so many more opportunities, they’ll be excited.”
