Boy, 16, arrested at school for first-degree murder, US Marshals say – FOX13 News Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Just over a month after a man was found shot dead in Frayser, a 16-year-old boy is facing first-degree murder for his death.

The boy’s arrest stems from an April 7 shooting in the 3600 block of Hallbrook Street that killed Michael Mahan, according to the US Marshals Service.

A warrant was quickly issued for the 16-year-old’s arrest and he was found at a school in Memphis, according to US Marshals.

U.S. Marshals said he was arrested at the school after he was found by the Memphis Police Department’s Fugitive Arrest Team.

The 16-year-old was taken into custody without incident, the US Marshals Service said.
