Call for food to feed hungry kittens launched by animal rescue center

An appeal has been made by an animal rescue and reception center for food for the kittens in their care.

Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Center, based in Hamilton, needs Royal Canin First Age Mousse Mother and Baby wet cat food, which is used to wean kittens on solid milk-based foods, as well as kitten meat to feed them once weaned.

Food can be purchased from the centre’s Amazon Wish List or through any other online retailer that offers direct delivery to the center.

Center director Gillian Boyle said: “We have recently had a few litters of kittens born at the center and we need to take care of them until they are old enough to find their forever home.

“We need Royal Canin First Age Mousse Mother and Baby wet cat food because it helps us wean kittens from milk to solid food.

“We also need normal kitten meat of all varieties to feed the older kittens once they have switched to solid food. These kittens are currently too young to adopt, so we are not taking any applications or interest notes at this time.

“We are very grateful for your support so that we can give these cats the best possible start in life. We would be very grateful for any donation people can save and we know our feline friends will too. “

Kitten food can be donated through the center’s Amazon wishlist here or sent by another online retailer who can deliver. Items can also be left in the donation bins outside the center at: Bothwell Road, Hamilton, ML3 0SB.
