Compiled with Airbnb to also bring you where you can find affordable accommodation, the post office report found Lviv lesser known in western Ukraine as the cheap short stay at the moment at £137.42 for two people.

This was based on the cost of 10 vacation staples (including a bottle of sparkling wine, two nights of Airbnb accommodation for two, a three-course dinner, a one-day bike rental).

In Lviv, a UNESCO protected site, you can experience all the charm of Prague or Krakow without the crowds. Its cobbled streets, cafes and trams allow for an authentic and inexpensive break.

Here are the top 10 cheap city break Europe has to offer, as well as postage prices for 10 typical holiday items. It should be noted that these prices do not include the cost of the flight.

This little-known European city has the charm of cities like Prague and Krakow but with fewer tourists. At £137.42 for 10 vacation items, including £55 for two nights of Airbnb accommodation (we love this one), it’s a good choice for a cheap city break in Europe.
