A fully off-grid converted barn vacation retreat has been nominated for a tourism award.
Laythams Holiday Lets Retreat, The Lakehouse in Clitheroe is a stunningly restored barn on the shores of a private lake and beautiful woodland and has been shortlisted in the Hottest Property category for the eviivo Awards. Situated on the edge of the natural beauty of the Forest of Bowland, The Lakehouse is powered entirely by solar and wind generation and water is generated, alkalized and filtered from the property’s spring on Burn Fell.
The Ribble Valley property, which has a king-size bed in each of the three bedrooms, boasts features such as a cinema-style TV with full Sky package and surround sound system, sauna and wet room, a vintage style kitchen while the open kitchen -living space has a wood burning stove, intricate open brickwork.

The luxury continues outside with a hot tub and shower, BBQ and seating area with lake and forest views. Children’s books and toys, a travel cot and a high chair are also provided

the eviivo pricewhich return in 2022 after a two-year hiatus, are dubbed “the Oscars of independent accommodation” and reward the best B&Bs, guesthouses, boutique hotels, pubs and restaurants with rooms in the UK.
Winners will be chosen by industry experts and announced at 8pm on Thursday March 24 will receive a £1,000 prize, with simultaneous ceremonies also in Germany, America and France.
A limited slot in April, May and the summer months are currently always available on Air BnB, for a minimum stay of three nights, for £479 per night (early April) and the house can sleep up to seven people.
