CWG 2022: Full list of Indian medalists at Birmingham Games so far

CWG 2022 Full List of Indian Medalists: The 2022 Commonwealth Games are currently taking place in Birmingham, England. Today is the 7th day of live action with four more days to go.

The Indian team has already won 19 medals including 5 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze. On Saturday, Mirabai Chanu headlined a four-medal tally with her gold in the women’s 49kg event. Weightlifter Achinta Sheuli (73kg) lived up to his accomplishments by winning India’s third gold medal at the Commonwealth Games on Sunday. Earlier on Sunday, 19-year-old Jeremy Lalrinnunga lifted a total of 300kg on Snatch and Clean & Jerk to dominate the men’s 67kg category. Lalrinnunga also broke the Games record in her category with a snatch lift of 140 kg. The Indian Lawn Bowls women’s team and the Indian men’s table tennis team also won the gold medal.

Saurav Ghosal made history by winning India’s first-ever singles medal in squash at the Commonwealth Games. Ghosal triumphed over former world number one James Willstrop of England 11-6 11-1 11-4. Later in the evening, Tejaswin Shankar won a bronze medal in the men’s high jump while Gurdeep Singh ended India’s weightlifting campaign with a bronze medal in the +109kg event. On Thursday August 5, Murali Sreeshankar became the first Indian to win a silver medal in the long jump at the Commonwealth Games.
