Did The Weeknd pay $ 100,000 to rent this Tampa mansion on the Davis Islands?

With $ 7 million of his own money that would have been spent preparing for the upcoming Super Bowl 55 halftime show, The Weeknd has a lot on his mind this week, so it makes sense that he also shelled out some serious stacks for a good pad during that he’s in Tampa.

According to Sixth page, the Grammy-winning singer spent $ 100,000 to rent a rectory on the Davis Islands. According to the post, the 6,000-square-foot home has an asking price of $ 9.1 million and includes six bedrooms and a “pool, bay view, and private dock.”

Currently there are only 11 properties for sale on the Davis Islands, and the only one that currently matches this description in all respects is a $ 9,150,000 Modern juggernaut on Riviera Drive.

Is this the Weeknd’s Super Bowl rental? Hard to say. The listing agent has confirmed to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that the house is indeed rented for the next Super Bowl, but will not say exactly who is staying there. Coincidentally, if this is the house, it is just down the street from Derek Jeter’s pad, which is currently rented by Tom Brady.

The Weeknd has had a busy few weeks here in Tampa. The star boy donated 150 meals from black-owned restaurant Mama’s Southern Soul Food to frontline healthcare workers at AdventHealth Carrollwood.
