Discover the most searched Airbnb rental in Orange County

ORLANDO, Florida – With over 150 exaggerated reviews and a 5-star rating, it’s no wonder Camp Copeland, as the owners have named it, is the place to stay when visiting Orlando. Airbnb named it the # 1 listing in Orange County.

“It was a huge surprise. I had no idea they even kept track of preferred properties,” said Tom Hurst after learning that his listing on popular rental website, Airbnb, had been named the property. n ° 1 for rent.

Ronald Gordy, Airbnb co-owner located in a residential area just a mile from downtown Orlando, said they liked to tell people that the vacation rental was like a summer camp, but for adults.

So what makes it so special?

“We have a good sound system there, a big screen TV, freezing air conditioning, a fridge stocked with snacks and goodies,” Hurst said.

Or maybe it’s the pool and hot tub that overlook Lake Copeland? According to News 6 at Nine reporter Carolina Cardona, who got a glimpse of the property, it might even be the Zen feeling the place gives you when you’re there.

“The hot tub actually works on (an) app on our phone so our customers can text us when they want to use it. There is also an outdoor shower here and our customers are welcome to use it – hot and cold, ”said Hurst during the tour.

Before converting the room to an Airbnb rental, Hurst and Gordy said they didn’t give the space any use until a neighbor gave them the idea.

“It started right away. We were booked. We had to block dates because people were so interested in coming to visit us,” Gordy said.

Earlier this year, Orlando city commissioners voted to allow short-term vacation home rentals in all residential neighborhoods.

“You are only allowed to accommodate one group of guests at a time and you have to be present. And we meet all of those requirements,” said Hurst.

In addition to being named the best in Orlando, Hurst and Gordy said they look forward to their guests, who come from all over the world.

“We had so much diversity among our guests. From the German Jumping Rope Championships to (a) Roller Derby Queen of Ireland,” said Hurst.
