Do you bet with or against Spadea on the road?
I am preparing … a little less than two weeks and I will hit the road in a motorhome for my trek in California.
I chose a route that will leave me at 11am on Friday the 13th with the first stop in Indianapolis.
I authorize a 12 hour trip even though Google maps assure me that I can get there in a little over 10 hours. My goal is to arrive by 11 p.m. at the latest and get about three hours of sleep, with a start for the second stage at 2 a.m. On Saturday.
Next stop, Oklahoma City! Again Google says 10 and a half, I’m budgeting 12. Assuming if I leave at 2am at the latest, I should arrive by 2pm on Saturday. Then another three hour break and I should be back on the road at 5:00 p.m. heading to Albuquerque, NM.
It’s about an eight hour drive and given the timing of the night, I should arrive at 2 a.m. Then, rest for two hours and leave at 4 am at the latest Sunday morning in the direction of Phoenix. It’s been a seven hour drive, which means I should be arriving Sunday at 11 a.m. EST!
Jet lag to the rescue! In San Diego, it will be 8 a.m. Six hours of driving and I should be arriving at AirBnB at 2 p.m.
As you know I put the over / under at 3pm PST so if I calculated correctly I would have some free time.
The bet made by Eric Scott is whether I really leave at 11 o’clock. The whole trip could be turned upside down if I can’t get out on time! Will have the RV ready the day before and check in with you on Facebook live from my stops. Do you think I’ll get there?
