Dxtra agencies report to Interpublic CEO Philippe Krakowsky after Polansky’s retirement

NEW YORK: Interpublic Group does not intend to replace Andy Polanski as CEO of the IPG Dxtra network after retiring last month.

Management of Dxtra’s flagship brands, which include its PR agencies, will report directly to Philippe Krakowsky, CEO of the Interpublic Group, said IPG SVP of global communications Tom Cunningham, via email.

IPG Dxtra includes PR companies such as Weber Shanwick, Golin, DeVries Global, Current World and R&CPMCas well as experiential companies Jack Morton and Momentumsports and entertainment company Octagon and Dxtra Health integrated solutions.

Polansky retired from his roles as CEO of Dxtra and Executive Chairman of Weber Shandwick, where he was previously CEOin June.

“IPG Dxtra agencies are well-positioned and well-equipped for continued success through Dxtra’s collaborative programs and IPG’s open architecture model, where agencies across the IPG portfolio partner on behalf of a customer,” Cunningham said.

An example is Modern designation an interagency team from the Interpublic Group of Dxtra Health Integrated Solutions as its overall AOR. Staff members from Weber Shandwick, Golin and Jack Health contribute to the Dxtra team, which works on corporate communications and the promotion of Moderna’s mRNA technology.

In October 2020, IPG revamped its Constituency Management Group business unit and relaunched it as IPG Dxtra to offer customers a more integrated approach.

IPG has a new financial reporting structure, which came into effect in the first quarter. The company previously consisted of two units, Interactive Agency Networks and Dxtra, but it split its agencies into three groups in the first quarter: Media Data and Engagement Solutions; Integrated solutions focused on advertising and creativity; and specialized communications and experiential solutions. Dxtra is part of the third group.

Public relations firms in Interpublic Group’s Specialized Communications and Experiential Solutions segment reported high single-digit organic growth in the first quarter, according to Polansky. This compared to low single-digit growth in Q1 2021.

In total, the unit posted a 12.5% ​​organic increase in revenue in the first quarter of 2022, to $336.3 million. The holding company reported overall net revenue of $2.2 billion, up 11.5% on an organic basis year-over-year, and net income of $159.4 million of dollars.
