Eamonn Holmes hits back at This Morning viewer over makeup comments

Eamonn Holmes was quick to respond to a This Morning viewer who had something to say about her look on Monday on This Morning.

The presenter was back on the ITV daytime show alongside Ruth Langsford for their final week in hosting the Summer Episodes.

But as they fell in love with Tuesday’s show, Eamonn was taken aback by a viewer who accused him of having too much makeup.

Reading on his phone, the 61-year-old said live on This Morning: “Hello Emma! [Who said], ‘Eamonn Holmes looks very different this morning. I’ve done too much with the makeup, I think. ‘”

Ruth started laughing at the comment as Eamonn continued to read the post: “‘Looks like he’s about to audition for a lady in panto.'”

The This Morning star then waved to the camera, adding, “Thanks Emma. It’s just nice to know what people are thinking.”

“A lady in panto, it’s me!” Eamonn said Ruth asked the film crew to take a close-up of her husband’s face.

“It’s always nice to hear from you,” Ruth echoed to Eamonn.

Eamonn didn’t seem impressed with the comment.

But Eamonn had none of it because the coup replied, “You can send me a picture of you Emma and then we can compare.”

Earlier on the show, Eamonn got viewers commenting on social media after an awkward blunder with a guest.

During a segment on cosmetic surgery, Eamonn and Ruth spoke to Anastasiia Pokreshchuk, 32, from her home in Kiev, Ukraine.

She revealed that she spent over £ 1,600 injecting hyaluronic filler into her own cheeks.

But as Anastasiia said she was happy with her procedure because she looked like a hamster, Eamonn heard her wrong and asked, “So you like to look like a hamster?”

Ruth saw the funny side

The guest replied, “No, I was like a hamster.”

Ruth could also be heard saying “no no” in the background before clarifying the situation: “You wanted your cheeks to be higher and more defined.”
