Edinburgh waitress shares ‘incredibly cute’ update on customer romance

An Edinburgh waitress recently took to social media to tell her followers how she managed to get a man’s number after making him coffee.

Sophie Hosking posted updates on video platform TikTok as she filmed herself making coffee for a man she says is a regular.

The 23-year-old, who works at the Grams cafe in Stockbridge, previously said the man was ‘so cute’ and wanted to date him.

Hinting at her goals, she wrote “ur cute” with a heart in the foam on top of the coffee before bringing it to him where he is then seen taking a picture of it.

The video has since racked up nearly 24 million views and three million likes.

Now, in an update, it turns out he took photos of every coffee she made for him and they even exchanged numbers.

The update proved to be popular again with this video getting five million views and almost a million likes.

Since her other video was seen in droves, she took to the social media app to answer questions and said everything was fine.

She said: “The update is we’ve been texting everything is fine. The only thing is that he has today left to go on vacation with his family and I’m going on vacation with my friends tomorrow so by the time we both get back to Edinburgh, it will be two weeks from now.

“However, as we both returned from our respective vacations, he told me that he would like to take me on a date.”

One commenter said: ‘And that’s how I met your mum’.

Another wrote: “Jeez woman. You know your coffee art.”

A third added: “Go ahead. Why not. He obviously appreciates your creativity. If that doesn’t work out, you might have a good friend.”
