Former Blackpool furniture store could be turned into a six-story building
A former furniture store is going to be transformed into a six-story building in Blackpool.
The former Furniture Center location on Watercourse Road could become homes, as planners applied for 31 apartments there.
Shops still active in the northern suburbs, and only moved a few doors from the location marked for redevelopment.
Eichsfeld Ltd is proposing to demolish the old building with 19 single-bed and 12 twin-bed outlines to enter.
In addition to that, they have defined a place for seven car spaces and 84 bicycles.
The request reads as follows: “Planning permission for the development of this site. The proposed development will consist of the construction of 31 apartments over 6 floors.

“The proposed works include: The demolition of an abandoned commercial building (957 m²).
“The provision of 31 apartments comprising 19 1-bedroom apartments (1044.4 m² in total) and 12 2-bedroom apartments (933.1 m² in total).
“The provision of a communal gathering space on the ground floor (92.4 m²) – The provision of 84 bicycle spaces and 7 numbers of car parks – The construction of a substation on site and a switching room (20m2) -Landscaping and all work accessories. “
