Glasgow city centre, Festival Village beer garden opens in time for summer

A popular Glasgow beer garden is back, just in time for summer.

Festival Village, located on Candleriggs Square in the heart of Merchant City, has been transformed from its cozy conservatory setup into a “secret suntrap,” decorated with street art.

Meanwhile, on the drink menu this year are boozy slushies, which are sure to be a big hit when the sun sets over the city.

“The venue also serves as an ideal resting point along Glasgow’s famous Mural Trail, as it is located beneath one of Glasgow’s newest murals inspired by the historic COP26 climate conference, which the city hosted in November 2021. As the summer evenings get longer and longer, Festival Village is also a great place to unwind with an after-work drink.

“The place is dog-friendly and four-legged friends will be welcomed with a bowl of cold water and a treat!

“The summer drinks menu includes refreshing pints of Tennent’s, as well as premium local spirits such as Smugglers spirits handcrafted in Scotland. Don’t miss the delicious new slushies washed down, there will be a new flavor special every week!
