Guests can stay overnight at Gaudí’s Casa Vicens this fall

For one night, only guests can stay overnight at that of Antoni Gaudi iconic Casa Vicens, which will open its doors to Airbnb customers for an exclusive stay.

The architectural gem is Gaudí’s first residence in Barcelona, built in the 1880s, blending Arab and Hispanic influences through its richly tiled interiors and facade. Casa Vicens was built with raw red bricks, colorful floral ceramic tiles and checkerboard patterns – a decorative style that Gaudí would revisit again and again in his projects, putting Catalan modernism on the map.

Casa Vicens was a private home for most of its 136 years, but has recently been transformed into a house-museum and will be listed on Airbnb for one night. Guests will be greeted by one of the people responsible for the building’s conversion and will benefit from an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the house, followed by a Michelin-starred Gaudí-inspired dinner in the dining room.
