Several influential and hard-working Hampshire residents have been recognized in the New Year’s Honors List.

The annual awards recognize people across the UK who make an outstanding contribution to society.

And the 2023 list includes more than 30 people from Hampshire who have been recognized for their work.

The following people are on the list:

  • Ian Anthony Booth, Managing Director, Submarine Delivery Agency, Ministry of Defence. For Defense Services (Hampshire).

  • Professor Jane Cecelia Falkingham OBE, Professor of Demography and International Social Policy, University of Southampton.

For Demographic Research Services (Southampton, Hampshire).

For services to charity and philanthropy (Sutton Scotney, Hampshire).
