‘Hocus Pocus’ cottage now welcomes visitors on Airbnb

Three unlikely hosts have made their homes available on Airbnb to celebrate the All Saints’ Day season.

A couple of charmed guests will have the chance to stay in the cottage of the Sanderson sisters of Hocus Pocus. The building – complete with cauldron, spell book and black flame candle – was recreated in the woods of Danvers, Mass. It is a few miles from Salem, where the film is set and where locals accused more than 200 people of practicing witchcraft in 1692 and 1693.

“Wooden planks groaning under the weight of curious cats and cupboards filled with owl blood and red grass (and even a hair from Winifred’s head) await,” Airbnb’s announcement read.

Almost two decades after the release of the original film, Hocus Pocus 2 dropped Friday on Disney+. Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker have reprized their roles as three sisters in search of eternal youth, which they can only achieve with the essence of children.

Guests of the chalet will be able to see a special screening of the new film, as well as visit famous haunted properties in Salem. They’ll also get a chance to try out enchantments from the ancient spellbook – “Maybe you don’t expect to turn someone into a cat as a result,” adds the Airbnb Listing.

“We all know that the story of the Sanderson sisters might not have ended when we crumbled to dust, nor did our shenanigans,” actress Kathy Najimy, who plays Mary Sanderson, said in the Airbnb ad. “What better way to celebrate the season than to welcome guests to the trio’s historic haunt for a night they’ll remember for years to come?”

The Airbnb stay is not a contest; fans can request reservations starting at 10 a.m. PDT on October 12. The reservation for two people at the chalet will be made on Thursday, October 20, for only $31.
