Holiday destinations outside of East Midlands Airport that could be on the green list
Overseas trips have been missed by so many over the past year, but hopefully it won’t be long before they can return.
While travel is far from normal and strict restrictions are still in place, overseas travel is expected to return from May 17, as part of the government’s roadmap to exit. lock.
East Midlands Airport, which currently operates no passenger flights, may see some of its most popular destinations on the government’s “red” list.
Under the proposed new system, going to a “green” country would mean a few covid tests at the end of the vacation, trips to “amber” destinations would also involve a 10-day quarantine at home, while anyone returning of “” reds “will have to pay to stay in a quarantine hotel for 10 days.
It is not yet clear which countries will be on which lists and we do not know which destinations East Midlands Airport at Castle Donington will have flights to which overseas travel will be re-permitted.
However, we’ve gone through the list of pre-pandemic destinations from the airport and looked at the predictions travel experts have made so far about which countries will be red, orange, and green.
Under the current plan, overseas travel is expected to be allowed again from May 17, LeicestershireLive reports.
