Holidaymakers charged £ 52,000 per week to stay in a twin-bed Glasgow Airbnb apartment

Holidaymakers are urged to shell out nearly £ 52,000 per week for an Airbnb that can accommodate four people in Glasgow.

The single rental in the west of the city costs £ 6,300 per night for a couple and two children in August.

The host of the property, known only as John, offers his guests a personal tour of the “architectural gem”, which is part of a former parish college.

Architecture is used to attract vacationers

A family of four wishing to stay August 7-14 will end up paying £ 51,618 after the Airbnb service charge and cleaning fee of £ 40 is factored in.

This comes at an exorbitant price of £ 1,843.50 per person per night for the address in the popular Park Circus Lane, near beautiful Kelvingrove Park.

Features of the house include two bedrooms, three smart TVs, a fully equipped kitchen with appliances as well as stained glass windows.

The ad reads: “As one of Glasgow’s most famous residential buildings, Trinity was designed by Charles Wilson and was built in 1857 as the Free Church of Scotland College.

“Today it still retains many original features and architectural grandeur, impressive columns and stunning stained-glass formations with ornate cornices and a tranquil atrium.”

John did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
