Inside Karlie Kloss’ Airbnb in Los Angeles
What better place to cure your model’s jet lag than a Beverly Hills mansion?
Karlie Kloss is the latest star to call a gorgeous home instead of a 5-star hotel home, thanks to Airbnb. The model recently landed in Los Angeles to shoot her new Netflix show, Bill Nye save the world, after a stint in Asia (during which she trampled the streets of Tokyo wearing space buns and a dragon print silk jacket with her sister Kimberly and visited Hello Kitty in Taiwan) and crashed in true superstar style, in a sprawling 5-bedroom house with a pool worth $10 million.
The contemporary villa is decorated with luxury furniture, suitable for a crowd (the house can accommodate 10 people) or a party (it is available for events, FYI). Karlie’s temporary retreat also includes a fireplace in the master bedroom, where the bed sits on a raised platform and patio doors lead directly to the terrace.
In a thank you video posted on Instagram, Kloss said, “Thank you Airbnb for this free stay. I’ve had a fabulous time in Los Angeles,” and explains why it’s so nice to have a house all to myself, “I live out of a suitcase most of the time, so it’s really nice to have a real home and a fabulous pool.”
A massive kitchen and multiple dining spaces make the home a great place to entertain a crew of Los Angeles-based friends. Though the house’s location north of Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills also means there’s no shortage of star-studded dining and nightlife establishments nearby.
Karlie isn’t the first A-lister to offer a free stay at Airbnb. During the 2016 Summer Olympics, her fellow Victoria’s Secret models Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima stayed in a pair of penthouses in Rio de Janeiro available for rent on the site. In August, Kim Kardashian took up residence in a $25 million penthouse in Manhattan for several months for free while her husband Kanye went on tour in Saint Pablo.
