The “charming but expansive” 6,248-square-foot home is perhaps best known for its exteriors, but its interiors are just as remarkable. Most importantly, the living room and dining room feature color ideas thanks to its mint green paint that breathes liveliness into the otherwise monochromatic space.

Elements of the house’s history are also visible through its architectural assets, including the cream wood paneling on the walls and the high ceilings. These features create contrast with the dark-hued wooden flooring that runs through much of the ground floor. They also form a suitable canvas for the ornate furnishings, including the antique-style tables, rugs and chandeliers that feature throughout the mansion.

This mostly neutral color palette is also evident in home decor. white kitchen ideas – with subtly painted cabinetry, a luxury marble backsplash and a large counter with a prep sink.

Along with the main living areas, the house has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms (which the owners say are best suited for two adults and three children). There is also a games room, a private gym and an office that comes to life with some of the best indoor plants. The basement houses a hidden ‘pub’ which is a welcome escape from the inevitable August heat.
