Jaden Smith to host an Airbnb online experience
Jaden Smith will host a unique online discussion designed to equip young people with the tools to voice their opinions – and maybe change some of them – at dinners and family gatherings over the holidays. The Airbnb online experience, titled “Bringing activism to the dinner table”, will be open to a group of up to 10 friends or family.
Used to honest family conversations, Smith joins Dr. Phillip Atiba Goff, co-founder and CEO of the Center for Policing Equity, to lead this 45-minute seminar. Smith and Goff will focus on how to navigate difficult conversations between people with different points of view while keeping your cool and avoiding divisions.
The experience will be available for booking via Airbnb Oct. 29 at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET. Participation will cost $ 100, or $ 10 per person, with profits going Vote.org, a non-partisan organization that supports voter education and registration efforts. A free livestream of the event will also be available on Airbnb’s Youtube channel October 30 at 3:30 p.m. PST.
Big names in music, the arts and sports continued to support voter registration; Lebron James recently joined Nike in an attempt to get the vote out and Diddy’s Sean John has relaunched his “Vote or Die!” campaign for the first time since 2004.
