Actress Jessica Chastain met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Sunday.
Zelensky, 44, a former actor and comedian, posted a photo on his official Telegram account showing him with “Eyes of Tammy Faye” actress in the presidential palace.
“American actress Jessica Chastain is in Ukraine today. For us, such visits from famous people are extremely valuable,” Zelensky wrote.
“Through this, the world will hear, know and understand even more the truth about what is happening in our country,” the message said.
Chastain, 45, also visited Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital, Ukrinform reported.
Footage showed the actress dressed in black, with her red hair pulled back into a loose ponytail, smiling while posing with Zelensky in front of a Ukrainian flag.
Another photo showed Chastain looking concerned as he sat next to Zelensky at a table during what appeared to be an intense conversation.
