Open calls

The 13th Epson International Pano Awards
Open internationally, the 13th annual Epson International Pano Awards celebrate all facets of panoramic photography. The competition will award over $40,000 in prizes, including $14,000 in cash. There is a $22 entry fee per submission.
Deadline: midnight (UTC-11) July 11, 2022.

Building Shells: Building Community
The Fullerton is seeking proposals to revitalize a building envelope, or structure without a roof or floor, in Newburgh, New York. Projects must take into account the typology and preservation of the hull. An artist or collective will receive $10,000 to complete the work.
Deadline: 10:59 p.m. ET on July 11, 2022.

The Burlington Contemporary Art Writing Prize
Arts writers with fewer than six reviews are eligible for the annual Burlington Contemporary award. A winner will receive a prize of £1,000 and future publication opportunities.
Deadline: July 15, 2022.

Loghaven artist residency
Located in Knoxville, Loghaven Residence offers work space and stipend. The application fee is $20 and artists must live more than 120 miles from the city.
Deadline: July 15, 2022.

South Inquiry Biennial Townhouses Project
Project Row House is looking for recent work created by Southern artists. One artist will receive a prize of $25,000.
Deadline: July 15, 2022.

International Biennale of Textile Art 2023
Open to international applicants, Fiber Arts Australia seeks submissions reflecting contemporary textile practice as an art form at the International Textile Art Biennale with prizes totaling AU$15,000. There is an entry fee of AU$75 to submit up to two works of art.
Deadline: July 17, 2022.

Beautiful and Weird Art Award
Awarding $57,000 in cash and prizes, this annual international competition celebrates diversity and excellence in the visual arts, supporting all static mediums. The top prize is $13,500 and there is a $40 entry fee.
Deadline: midnight PST on July 17, 2022.

The Meitar Award of Excellence
The seventh annual Meitar Award for Excellence will award a photographer a $14,000 scholarship for a solo exhibition as part of the 2023 PHOTO IS:RAEL International Photography Festival. Twenty finalists will also participate in a group exhibition at this year’s festival. in November in Tel Aviv. The entry fee is $54.

Airbnb’s $10,000,000! Funds
In addition to its collection of playful spaces—this six-ton ​​potato being one—Airbnb is awarding $100,000 each to 100 designers interested in creating a unique place that will be part of its OMG! Category. Final projects are to be completed by August 2023.
Deadline: 10:59 p.m. ET on July 22.

Veranda project space
Open to all mediums, an open call from the Sunroom Project Space is seeking emerging New York-area artists to develop a site-specific visual arts project at Wave Hill. Four artists will be selected for individual exhibitions and will receive a $2,000 honorarium, exhibition support and professional development.

Faena Prize for the Arts
Artists of all genres, disciplines and technologies are invited to imagine temporary, site-specific projects to be installed in Faena Beach during Miami Art Week 2022. The winning proposal will receive a $100,000 prize.

8th national exhibition with jury at the Oxford Arts Alliance
Now in its 8th year, the National exhibition with jury at the Oxford Arts Alliance is holding an open call for a show in October 2022. There is a $30 entry fee and a $500 first prize.
Deadline: August 19, 2022.

SPIE International Day of Light Photo Contest
The annual SPIE International Day of Light Photo Contest focuses on light and its vital role in nature, art and technology. A winner will receive $2,500, with smaller cash prizes for runners-up.
Deadline: September 16, 2022.

The Bennett Prize for Female Figurative Painters
US-based painters are invited to apply for the third edition of the Bennett Prize, which awards $50,000 to an artist and a finalist receives $10,000. The entry fee is $40.
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. MST on October 7, 2022.

Subsidies

Media Arts Relief Fund
This fund provides individual New York-based artists with support for the making and/or public presentation of new work in all genres of sound art and moving image, including emerging technologies. Artists will receive up to $7,500 to help them complete new work.
Deadline: July 1, 2022.

Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists
This $10,000 grant recognizes a body of existing work by a black trans woman. It will also provide additional support for the continuation of their work.
Deadline: July 15, 2022.

Cir grants to artists
This program awards two artists unrestricted grants of $550 each cycle to enhance their practice. The application fee is $25.
Deadline: July 20, 2022.

Prospect Art New Work Open Call
Prospect Art is looking for conceptual works in the initial phase of its grant program. Two grants of $1,000 are awarded each year to artists or collectives to carry out a project. There is a $10 application fee.
Deadline: July 20, 2022.

Southern Artists for Social Change
This National Performance Network program provides $25,000 project grants to artists and culture carriers of color living, working, and engaging in social change in urban, rural, and tribal communities in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Deadline: 5:00 p.m. CST on July 29, 2022.

Art and Change Grant
Open to female, trans*, and/or gender-nonconforming artists living in Philadelphia, the Art and Change grant will award $2,500 to a project from any medium focused on social change.
Deadline: August 1, 2022.

The Canadian Women Artists Award
Open to Canadian women artists between the ages of 25 and 40 living in New York State, this grant program offers three unrestricted scholarships of $5,000, one in visual arts, one in media and design, and the other in literature. .
Deadline: 5:00 p.m. EDT on August 30, 2022.

$500,000 Creative Capital x Skoll Foundation Fund
Kickstarter, Creative Capital and Skoll Foundation have launched a $500,000 Creative Capital x Skoll Foundation fund to support projects by Asian, Black, Indigenous and Latino creators. Awards are regularly presented to creators in categories such as arts, comics and illustration, design and technology, film, food and crafts, games, music and publishing.

Adobe Creative Residency Community Fund
Adobe’s Creative Residency Community Fund commissions visual artists to create business projects on an ongoing basis. Winners will receive between $500 and $5,000.

Residencies and scholarships

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart and Sullivan Artist Residency
Open to emerging and mid-career artists working in all disciplines in the greater Los Angeles area, this residency awards two artists $5,000 per month for four months, plus a stipend of up to $1,500 for material.
Deadline: July 13, 2022.

Puerto Rico Youth Scholarship
Activists between the ages of 21 and 35 are invited to apply for the Puerto Rico Youth Fellowship, with a proposal centered on decolonization and climate justice on the island. Recipients will receive $45,000.
Deadline: July 15, 2022.

CatchLight Global Scholarship 2022
CatchLight is awarding four $30,000 grants to artists, educators, organizational leaders, and anyone committed to using visual storytelling for social justice. It is open to all mediums.
Deadline: 12 years PST on July 18, 2022.

Stock market in image
Google’s new six-month program will award 20 fellows $20,000 in unlimited funds, mentorship and workshops to help them create an image-based project that uplifts communities of color. Applicants must be based in the United States
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. ET on July 18, 2022.

MOPD Field Office Artist-in-Residence Program
A Chicago-based artist or collective will be chosen to develop cultural programs for and by people with disabilities and older adults and help change and inform spaces in the city. The budget is $60,000, which includes a $15,000 allowance for artist fees.
Deadline: 5:00 p.m. CDT on July 21, 2022.

#BlackVisionaries Fellowship 2022
Instagram, the Brooklyn Museum and curator Antwaun Sargent are behind the 2022 #BlackVisionaries Fellowship, which will award $650,000 to emerging black artists and designers between the ages of 18 and 35 and small organizations under 10 years old. Applicants must be based in the United States
Deadline: July 29, 2022.

Residences of the Franconian Sculpture Park
Franconia offers a shared residency experience where up to 18 selected artists live on-site in their 4,500 square foot farm. This year’s theme is “Public Art is Public Health”. Applicants should express interest in investigating and creating works exploring the intersectional impacts between public art and public health.
Deadline: August 1, 2022.

The Anita Wetzel Residence Grant
Women’s Studio Workshop in Rosendale, New York will welcome an artist aged 45 or older for a 4-6 week residency. Anyone working in intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screen printing, darkroom photography, or ceramics is eligible, and the chosen artist will receive a weekly stipend of $350, up to $500 for materials and up to $250 for travel.

Fountainhead Residency Open Call
Visual artists are encouraged to apply for a month-long Fountainhead Residency, which provides round-trip airfare, housing and working accommodation, and a stipend.

BIPOC residency at the Corning Museum of Glass
The Corning Museum of Glass will award one or two artist residencies at its New York studio. Each lasts a month and takes place in March, April, May, October and November.
