Liverpool ‘in shock’ over Elliott injury

Some things are more important than the outcome and one of them now is Harvey Elliott’s full recovery.

The 18-year-old suffered a horrific injury in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Leeds on Sunday.

The full intention of the injury has yet to be revealed, but manager Jurgen Klopp said after the game it looked like a dislocated ankle.

Speaking about the horror of the injury, Klopp said: “I saw the situation and then I could see that his foot was in the wrong place. That’s why we were all shocked. That’s all.”

Fabinho shines in victory

In this afternoon’s game it was a great performance for the team which was of course overshadowed by Elliott’s injury.

But the Liverpool players did not let their teammate’s injury get to them as they put in an impressive performance.

Mohammed Salah scored his 100 e A Premier League goal and the team kept their clean sheet to try to turn a bad day into a positive twist.

Fabinho also grabbed the attention and scored the highest in our player ratings.

Gary Neville eats his words

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has admitted he “got it wrong” on Liverpool.

Having been skeptical of Liverpool the ability to compete on multiple fronts, Neville admitted he was not prepared to make the same mistake twice.

“I think it was three or four years ago when I said I didn’t think they would be able to compete in the Champions League and the league and they proved me wrong, “he said Air sports ahead of Sunday’s game with Leeds.

“Because of the way they play Liverpool, the fact that they don’t have a massively strong team in terms of depth and the big enough difference between the top 11 and under, I thought they should have wrong.”
