Luxury retailer offers a day with former Bulls champion Pippen for $333,000

CHICAGO — If Chicago residents and Bulls fans have a hard-to-buy friend or family member for the upcoming holiday, former Bulls star and NBA champion Scottie Pippen just might have the answer.

It will only cost you $333,333.

Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus is offering fans the chance to spend the day in Los Angeles with the former Bulls star and his son. The day includes spending time on the basketball court with Pippen, who was part of the Bulls’ multiple NBA championships with Michael Jordan during the team’s Dynasty Championship Series.

Neiman Marcus promotes the offer as “ultimate sports experience” and provides the buyer with a one-day experience with Pippen and his son, Scotty Pippen, Jr. that includes a private dinner with both Pippens, a sample of Pippen’s bourbon, “Digits,” and a signed copy of Pippen’s book. Pippen, “Unguarded”.

If the award sounds familiar, it’s because Pippen, who played 17 seasons in the NBA, wore No. 33 with the Bulls during the team’s meteoric rise.

Pippen will donate $278,000 to the CHI Prep Academy, a non-profit program that promotes high standards in education, entrepreneurship, and athletics. Travel to and from Los Angeles is not included in the price, Neiman Marcus said.

The promotion comes more than a year after Pippen offered his old house in Highland Park to AirBNB guests, who for $92 a night could stay at the Pippen Mansion on the North Shore during the Olympics to watch basketball games and spend time playing on the basketball court at the House. Of course, Pippen was not there but implored the guests to make themselves at home but to keep the noise down so as not to upset the neighbours.

Anyone interested in traveling to the West Coast for the day with Pippen can call 1-877-966-4438 for details.
