Major search after child was reported missing on Jurassic Coast beach
The Coast Guard were called in to help with a search after a child was reported missing on a Dorset beach.
There was concern at one point that the youngster had gone into the sea during the Lyme Regis alert on the Jurassic Coast, just beyond the Devon border.
Coastguards from the Lyme Regis team were deployed to check the beach and the waterline.

During the search, reports emerged that the police found the child near Langmoor and Lister Gardens and he was subsequently located with his parents.
The Lyme Regis Coast Guard team reported details of the operation which took place early Wednesday afternoon in a post on its Facebook page.
A spokesperson said: “The Lyme Regis Coast Guard team has been tasked with helping police and RNLI rescuers search for a missing child on Lyme Regis beach.
“It was feared that the unaccompanied youth had entered the water.
“Two coast guard teams were deployed to check the busy beach and the waterline.
“During the search, information was received that the child was found by police near Langmoor Garden. He was reunited with his parents.”
