Marriott International’s cheerful brand, Moxy Hotels, will add more than 40 new destinations across Europe over the next three years.
The brand began expanding its footprint in Europe in 2017 and has more than 50 Moxy signed hotels in the pipeline, scheduled to open between now and the end of 2020.

The sharpest increase in Moxy’s presence will be seen in places such as Germany and Great Britain. Moxy will also enter various key destinations in Europe including FrancePortugal and the Netherlands, the company said in a statement.
Moxy, which first debuted in Europe in 2014, is an experimental hotel brand aimed at the next generation of travellers.
Moxy has also made a name for itself in the US market with significant openings from New York to Minneapolis. In October 2017, Marriott opened Moxy Times Square, a stylish property with an urban campsite aesthetic designed to attract the same modern travelers who often look for Airbnb accommodation.
This 612-room New York hotel offers high-speed Wi-Fi, co-working spaces, foosball, board games and pet-friendly rooms. It also houses New York’s largest indoor/outdoor rooftop hotel bar. Meanwhile, the rooms have rain showers and flat-screen TVs with access to Netflix and Pandora.
Meanwhile, Moxy’s European openings include Germany, the UK and Scandinavia.
In Germany, Moxy already has nine facilities. The company plans to more than double its portfolio there and open another 16 properties by the end of 2019 in key cities such as Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and Düsseldorf.

There are already two Moxy facilities in the UK – Moxy London Excel and Moxy London Stratford. Only until the end of 2018, another five real estate openings are planned in the country. The brand ultimately expects all four corners of the UK to be covered in real estate, including new hotels in Edinburgh, Glasgow, York and Southhampton.
Moxy has also recently opened a property in Scandinavia, Moxy Oslo X. Additional properties are planned in Denmark, Copenhagen and Norway.
In addition to growth in existing markets, Moxy will debut in various countries over the next three years, including the Netherlands (Amsterdam, The Hague); France (Paris, Lille, Biot); Portugal (Lisbon); Poland (Warsaw, Poznan, Katowice and Szczecin); Georgia (Tbilisi), Switzerland (Bern and Lausanne); Ireland (Dublin) and Greece (Patra).
